Privacy Policy

Noizzle ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Noizzle website and mobile app (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using Noizzle.

1. Information We Collect

Noizzle collects limited information needed to run the game and optional account features.

• Gameplay data: guesses, scores, time to solve, whether a challenge was completed or given up, and related challenge activity.
• Account information: if you create an account, your email address and basic authentication profile information are stored through Supabase Authentication.
• Display name: if you use leaderboard or account features, we may store and display a username or display name that you choose or provide.
• Progress data: if you sign in, we may store streaks, attempts, category completion counts, and player statistics tied to your account.
• Push notification tokens: if you opt in to reminders, we store a push subscription or device token so we can send daily Noizzle notifications.
• Local device storage: we store information on your device, such as whether you already played today and temporary in-progress game state.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• deliver the daily sound challenge and prevent replay of the same daily puzzle;
• calculate scores, streaks, attempts, and leaderboard entries;
• support optional account features and sign-in;
• send optional push reminders if you subscribe; and
• maintain, secure, and improve the App.

3. Guest Play and Accounts

You can use Noizzle as a guest without creating an account. Guest play relies in part on local storage on your device to remember daily play status.

If you create an account, your gameplay progress may also be associated with your account so we can support streaks, saved progress, and leaderboard participation across sessions or devices.

4. Leaderboards and Public Information

If you submit a score to a leaderboard, the display name you use for that submission may be visible to other users. Please do not use sensitive personal information in a public display name.

5. Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, we store the technical token or subscription data required to send daily challenge reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device or browser settings.

6. Third-Party Services

Noizzle uses third-party services to operate the App, including:

• Supabase for authentication, database services, and file storage. Supabase Privacy Policy

• Vercel for web hosting and delivery. Vercel Privacy Policy
• Apple and platform services for App Store distribution and iOS notification delivery where applicable.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run Noizzle, and only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the App.

8. Data Retention

We keep gameplay, leaderboard, notification, and account-related data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Noizzle, maintain scores and streak features, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Some information may remain on your device until it is cleared locally or the App is removed.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on how you use Noizzle, you may be able to:

• play as a guest without creating an account;
• disable push notifications through your device or browser settings;
• stop using the App and clear local browser or app data on your device; and
• contact us to request deletion of your account data or ask privacy-related questions.

10. Children's Privacy

Noizzle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Noizzle, please contact us.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information associated with Noizzle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the Effective Date above. Continued use of Noizzle after changes become effective means you accept the revised policy.
